How many seasons are there?

There are two seasons in a year. Winter season includes term 2 and term 3 of the school year; Summer season includes term 4 and term 1 of the school year. Each season begins with 4 weeks of grading games.

How much does it cost?

There is a registration fee of ~$122 per season registration and annual Basketball Victoria registration of ~$25 (correct 2020 winter)

Price varies on age bracket and covers all weekly game payments.

There are an average of 17 games played in a season(not including semi-finals and finals).

Is there any training?

Yes, each team will be appointed a coach and training will be scheduled during the week in which you will receive a detailed notification via email before each season begins. Please bring your own basketball to training and please be on time to pick-up your child after training.

Do parents need to attend the basketball games?

Yes, parents, families and friends are all welcome to attend the basketball game to support children. It is also compulsory for all parents in each team to take turns and help score during the games, an exception is given to coaches and team managers.

Is there anything else I can do to help as a parent?

Yes, the club is run by volunteers, and we welcome as much help as we can get. Please contact the club president to find out how.

What happens if my child is not feeling well or we are on holiday during the game or training?

Please notify your team manager as soon as possible if you know your child will not be able to attend any session. This will enable the team manager to make arrangements if the need arises.

Where are the games played?

Games are scheduled at 5 different locations.

What is the size of the basketball for my child?

Size 5 for U8 & U9

Size 6 for U10 and older.
